It’s been years since I posted this blog. Due to some issues with my web hosting service I migrated this blog to a new server and made some changes to the blog. As there wasn’t much recent activity, and due to the potential security risk, I removed the forum. Also removed the Contact page and form. If you want to reach me, just use the comments feature at the bottom of any of the posts and I’ll be notified.
I’m Healed….Knock on Wood
The reason I haven’t posted (or even looked) at this blog in so long as is because I haven’t had any issues or pain with my achilles ever since the last time it flared up. That was a number of years ago. I’m now 48 years old and play squash a few times a week along with other exercise. I have not done any full court basketball or soccer – these are the two sports that caused me issues in the past. That said, I’m confident I probably could do them now without problem, as my calves are much more flexible than before. Tight calves were the root cause of the partial tearing.
For everyone out there who is dealing with insertional achilles tendinosis, I wish you the best and hope that this little blog provides you some inspiration to heal up and get back to your chosen sport or activities, pain-free. I am a big believer in the eccentric heel drops protocol. It worked for me!
